Macdonald Center's 2011 Spring Event

Macdonald Center would like to thank everyone who attended our 2011 Spring Event, held at Urban Studio, and those who made a contribution in support of the event. These contributions, and the generous dollar-for-dollar match from the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund, allowed us to raise $120,000 for programs that break social isolation and build community for adults and seniors in Old Town.

Some Event Highlights:

Nearly 200 community and corporate leaders attended.

The inaugural Hope in the Heart of Portland award was presented to Father Richard Berg for his vision

There was a silent auction of ten unique paintings created by Amanda Christine Baker.

Andrea, one of the people Macdonald Center visits through its community outreach program, also shared her personal story and how the Center’s programs and volunteers have improved her life.
